A Little About Max

Maxwell Ehrnfelt (they/he) is a queer and trans social worker and therapist. Max specializes in trans-affirming practices and neurodivergence. They provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.

Max practices person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed psychoanalysis. He incorporates harm reduction and disability justice principles, motivational interviewing techniques, and psychodynamic, feminist, and queer theories. Max practices from an anti-oppressive perspective to process how systems of power, settler colonialism, and white supremacy impact daily experiences. Overall, Max hopes to offer solidarity to support you in living your most authentic, empowered life.

As a writer himself, Max appreciates the vast potential for creative outlets in supporting positive therapeutic outcomes. In sessions, Max embraces play therapy and expressive arts specific to your hobbies, hyperfixations, interests, and passions.

For rest and fun, Max enjoys reading more books than he can count, writing poetry and prose, playing chess, and spending quality time with their dog, Rowdy, and their cat, Earl Grey.

Max’s Specialities:

  • Neurodivergence
  • Play Therapy
