A Little About Ashlinn
Ashlinn (she/her) is a prelicensed mental health counselor whose approach centers around the
belief that healing happens in relationships. A strong therapeutic alliance, one built on trust,
safety, and mutual respect, is essential for meaningful growth.
Vulnerability takes time and courage, especially when we are carrying emotions that we have
been taught to suppress. Ashlinn aims to empower folks to express these feelings and
understand the value in them. All feelings are welcome in this space.
Ashlinn believes that many of our behaviors and patterns were developed to protect us. In
therapy, we explore these strategies with compassion and curiosity, identifying what continues
to serve you and what you would like to shift. Emotional awareness is a key part of this process.
When we learn to name and understand our emotions, we open the door to greater self-
connection and resilience.
Ashlinn has a particular affinity for working with grief in all its forms, not only the loss of another
person, but also the grief that can arise from losing an identity, an aspiration, or shifting roles
and relationships. She approaches these experiences intending to create space for their
complexity and depth.
As a queer individual, Ashlinn knows the importance of feeling affirmed. She practices from a
lens of cultural humility, engaging in ongoing learning to create a respectful, inclusive space for
all clients.
Whether you’re navigating a life transition, struggling with distressing emotions, or needing a
space to be heard, her goal is to walk alongside you as you work together toward healing and
growth.
Outside of therapy, Ashlinn loves to cook, spend time outdoors, and play guitar for her cat,
Edith.
