About
Gemma Archer, LCSW (she/her) (MA)

Through Gemma's own mental health journey and experience in the world she has found a passion for helping others. Her goal with clients is to invite them to gain an understanding of themselves and how they function in life. She strives to create an open, trusting, and compassionate relationship with all of her clients. Her intention is to help you understand your emotions in the larger contexts of your life, give you space, and learn skills to live with them. Together, you can work to find equilibrium in those big emotions and find strengths in your challenges. Her goal for each session is for you to feel lighter and more prepared for any issues or struggles that come your way.

She enjoys working with individuals who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, individuating from family, relationship issues, and decision making. She uses aspects of DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and skill building. These types of therapeutic approaches use practical skill building techniques to gain a deeper understanding of your inner self.

She wants you to feel invited to come to her with any issue or problem you care to bring to your time together. She looks forward to being there for you and collaborating as a team in the work, because you are your own best expert. She would be honored to join you in the process of becoming more comfortable in yourself!
