A Little About Madison

Madison (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with queer, neurodivergent, and trauma-impacted individuals. She approaches therapy with the understanding that people heal best when their identities, relationships, and environments are fully acknowledged—not judged or pathologized. Madison believes healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but about having the space to show up as who you’ve always been, without shrinking, masking, or apologizing. She works to build a safe, attuned relationship that supports genuine growth and meaningful change.

Clients describe Madison as warm, grounded, and deeply present. She can sit with complexity and pain while still making room for humor and relief, offering a balance of honesty and compassion. Madison provides clarity and challenge without shame, and supports clients in developing the self-advocacy skills that lead to empowerment and long-term shifts.

Madison’s work is trauma-focused and person-centered. She draws from strength-based, emotion-focused, and solution-focused approaches to help clients develop a more affirming relationship with themselves and gain the clarity needed to live authentically. She integrates EMDR, parts work, and play-based strategies to deepen self-understanding, support relational healing, and help clients build lives that feel aligned and sustainable.

Her lens is firmly anti-oppressive and culturally humble. Madison understands that many clients are working through more than personal history—they are also navigating the impact of systems, expectations, and environments that have shaped their sense of safety and belonging. Her work often includes exploring identity, unlearning internalized messages, and reconnecting with parts of the self that have been pushed aside.

In sessions, Madison collaborates with clients to set meaningful goals, checks in regularly about progress, and tailors therapy to what they need in the moment. Her priority is creating a space where people feel respected, understood, and supported in a way that feels genuine—not performative, prescriptive, or one-size-fits-all.
