Meg Plansky
Clinical Therapist
(they/she)

A Little About Meg

Meg (they/she) is a queer clinician who grew up in the Boston area. Meg has over 5 years of experience in the mental health field, ranging from rape crisis work, elementary school counseling, college mental health counseling, and community mental health. At the root of Meg’s work, she believes that all individuals are capable of living authentic, beautiful lives. Meg believes in the resiliency that comes from navigating hardships and draws on tools and strategies clients already utilize while creating a space for collaboration, creativity, and flexibility to identify additional ways of healing.

Meg utilizes a strengths-based, person-centered approach that allows for the acknowledgement of all the hard work that has brought someone to this point, while fostering hope and movement forward into the future. Meg believes that the relationship created in therapy is the foundation of all work done together. Meg utilizes a warm, calming approach with laughter and silliness woven through to create a space where clients feel heard, seen, and valued. They accept people exactly where they’re at with no judgment: only compassion, kindness, and sincerity.  Meg’s goal is to be an anchor that provides stability and grounding while on your journey of self-exploration, no matter the direction.

Meg specializes in chronic illness/pain and eating disorders, with an understanding from both personal and professional experiences. Meg is grounded in fat liberation and the diverse abilities/capabilities of all bodies, while acknowledging that we do not owe anyone health and deserve to exist just as we are, unapologetically. Meg works with clients to reconfigure their relationships with their bodies, abilities, exercise, and food, with a focus on implementing joy and compassion in all areas.

Meg welcomes clients of all ages and is particularly passionate about working with teens, college students, and young adults. When not in the office, Meg enjoys reading, birdwatching, and spending time with their three cats: Florence, Tuesday, and Goose (who you may see in the background of a session!).

To sum it all up: bring your stuckness, your fear, and your hardship. Let’s navigate it together.
