About
Bed Hermin, LMHC
(they/them) (MA)

Bed Hermin (they/them pronouns) identifies as an American-Colombian trans mental health counselor, facilitator, artist, and meditator. They offer personalized, targeted, and compassionate guidance through the confusing maps of personhood, through the storms of emotional torments, and through the pains of trauma so you can come out shining, resilient and confident. Bed Hermin offers the teachings, training, knowledge, and creativity they've cultivated over years in service of your best life, for the benefit of both self and other. You can leave each session knowing that you are seen in your deepest goodness, you have what it takes to get through it, AND you can carry on with love and equanimity.

Expressive Therapy is Bed Hermin's core discipline. This means that their practice is based on Creativity, Attunement, Imagination, and the Embodiment of what makes us connected and compassionate human beings. It also means that as a client, you are not an object that needs to be fixed in some way, as some medical mental health models seem to do. Internal Family Systems and Person-Centered Psychodynamic models also support their theoretical and practical frameworks. Their practice has often been with folks experiencing low self-esteem, communication issues, anxiety, trauma, and spiritual/existential confusion. In sessions with Bed Hermin, you will be finding past patterns in your life that need interrupting, understanding and engaging with your present symptoms, and mapping out new paths to take in the future.

Since completing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Expressive Arts Therapy (2020), Bed Hermin has worked as an educator, individual and group counselor, and BHCP clinical supervisor. Drawing from a rich cultural, creative, and compassionate background, they have a deep understanding of growing up within distinct ethnicities and social structures. They are invested in de-colonizing their practice with an eye towards the power, privilege, and oppression that influences the structures that often keep us in a state of suffering and struggle.

Bed offers telehealth services across Massachusetts and accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts (Commercial), Aetna, Optum (United Healthcare and Mass Brigham) and Cigna insurances. Otherwise, they currently charge $200 for the initial intake session and $175
for every individual session, as well as offers support with out of network reimbursement.
